Dr Mark Fetterplace BVSc

 

Mark graduated from Sydney University in 1980. He worked for several years as an associate in Campbelltown before establishing this hospital in 1983 (See History). Mark is the founder, owner, manager and senior veterinarian of the hospital. He lives in the Northern Wollongong area with his wife and has five children. His other interests include surfing, travel, photography and coffee. Mark has 2 dogs - a cattle dog that loves people but not dogs and a Labrador that loves anybody.

 

Dr Connie Lam BVSc (Hons)

 

Connie graduated from Sydney University in 2005 and joined us as a full time veterinarian in December that year. In 2007, she completed a 12 month internship in small animal surgery and medicine at the Adelaide Veterinary Specialist and Referral Centre. She rejoined the Ingleburn team in February 2008. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary practice but has developed an interest in internal and emergency medicine and small animal anaesthesia. In her spare time, Connie loves spending time with her very clever Jack Russell Terrier, Toto and her big cat, Sooty.

 

Dr Cait McKinnon BVSc

 

Cait graduated from Sydney University in 2009 and joined our team in February 2010.

Marjorie graduated from Sydney University in 1992 and joined our team in February 2010.

Nurses

Bronwyn Merchant

 

Bronwyn joined us as a fulltime vet nurse in 1987. She completed her Veterinary Nursing Certificate at Ultimo Tafe in 1989. Bron’s family at home includes her 2 children, 3 cheeky dogs & 1 naughty cat. Bronwyn heads our nursing team with over 25 years of experience. In her spare time she enjoys netball, reading and socialising with friends.

 

Roslyn Atkinson

 

Roslyn joined us in 1999 as a full-time vet nurse, after several years experience in animal care and handling. Ros has numerous qualifications including certificates in Animal Attending, Veterinary Reception and Kennel Operations, as well as an Assoc. Dipl. in Animal Technology. Most recently, Ros completed advanced studies in veterinary nursing completing the veterinary technician’s diploma from the Animal Industries Resource Centre. Ros enjoys all aspects of veterinary nursing but in particular has an interest in anaesthesia and advanced surgical and medical nursing. Ros lives in the Southern Highlands . At home she has 2 birds, “Lilly” the blue tongue lizard, “Abby” the crazy kitten & "Bonnie" the kelpie.

   

Nicole Stanley

 

Nicole joined us in 1997 as a full-time vet nurse until 2003. She now works part-time with us as she juggles a young family. Nicole completed her Certificate in Veterinary Nursing and Animal Technology in New Zealand in 1996. She is also a qualified puppy preschool teacher. Nicole is married with 2 children and shares her home with 2 lovable Golden Retrievers, Sebastian & Lexie and 2 cats.

 

Liz Cooke

 

Liz joined us in 2008 as a fulltime vet nurse. She is currently completing her Cert IV in Vet Nursing. Liz is also a qualified pet stylist. In her spare time she enjoys riding her horse, competing at both state and national levels. Liz resides in the Blue Mountains with her boisterous Siberian Husky "Syber" and her cat "Abbey"

 

Daniel Duncan

 

Dan joined us in May 2009 with his career spanning the past 11 years working all over Australia, England and Africa in both the nursing field and zookeeping. Dans qualifications include Cert III in animal management and Cert IV in vet nursing.

 

David Antakley

 

David joined our team in 2008 as a kennel hand/cleaner, he keeps the hospital lovely and clean. David works Monday to Friday and enjoys fishing in his spare time.
