What is Advocate?

Advocate, for dogs and cats is unique. It is the first product to treat, protect against and prevent infection by covering more aspects of parasite control than any other comparable product. Advocate is an easy to apply topical formulation that will give you the peace of mind you want. With monthly application, you can be assured that Advocate will not only treat and control fleas, but also prevent heartworm as well as gastro-intestinal worms with the added benefit of the treatment of mites and lice.

ADVOCATE - The Faster Flea Control

Fleas are probably the most common problem encountered by dog and cat owners when caring for their pets. When fleas bite they suck blood causing intense irritation and itching often leading to Flea Allergy Dermatitis.

Monthly use of Advocate:

• Stops fleas from feeding within 3-5 minutes¹.
• Kills 98-100%¹ of the fleas within 12 hours of first application².
• Kills both adult and larval fleas within 20 minutes of contact¹.

ADVOCATE - Heartworm Prevention

Heartworms are transmitted by mosquitoes and are found throughout Australia. Heartworm infection is serious and can be fatal. With monthly use, Advocate prevents heartworm infection in both dogs and cats.

ADVOCATE- Gastro-intestinal Worm Treatment and Prevention

Gastro-intestinal worms can affect dogs, cats and humans. Advocate is extremely effective - with up to 100% elimination of hookworms,whipworms and roundworms after a single dose. Advocate is the only product that kills the adult, immature, and larval stages of hookworms and roundworms, preventing the establishment of new infections that can affect both your pets and your family.

ADVOCATE - Controls Lice

Lice can cause severe itching to your pet. Applied monthly, Advocate will control lice.

ADVOCATE - Treats and prevents sarcoptic mange mite

Sarcoptic mange is a highly irritating and debilitating skin disease caused by sarcoptic mites. Advocate has been shown to eliminate 100% of sarcoptic mites (Sarcoptes scabiei) after a single dose. Monthly application of Advocate will control any subsequent sarcoptic mite infestation.

ADVOCATE - Treats and prevents Ear Mites

The ear mite is usually found in the external ear canal. For treatment, Advocate is highly effective against ear mites as a single dose. Monthly application of Advocate will control any subsequent ear mite infestation.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Imidacloprid and Moxidectin are the well-known active ingredients in Advocate. Imidacloprid acts against fleas and lice. Moxidectin affects internal parasites and mites.

SAFETY

Advocate is safe for use on puppies from 7 weeks and kittens from 9 weeks of age.

Advocate not only has a wide safety margin for pets, but their owners as well.

Prior to the first administration of Advocate, it is recommended that dogs and cats be tested for existing heartworm infections. However, Advocate can be safely administered to heartworm positive dogs and cats.

ADVOCATE KEEPS WORKING ON DOGS THAT ARE WET

Advocate remains effective for a full month, even if your dog goes swimming, gets caught in the rain, or is bathed and shampooed during that time. Advocate can be applied after bathing as soon as your pet is dry.
